Our second day in Taichung~

We rented a bike that comes along with the accommodation and off we go to our first destination is to Xinshe Castle (新社莊園) - more than an hour ride down from our place.

Opening Hours: 09:00-18:00
Entrance Fees: NT250 (includes NT100 food voucher)
Address: No.65, Xiezhong StXinshe Dist. Taichung City 426, Taiwan (R.O.C.)

Take a stroll down and around this European style castle, enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking the view and relax in this pleasant atmosphere.

Great day to enjoy the whole scenery and to walk in the cool breeze. For those going to Taichung or plan to, mark this and plan it to be one of your destination. You will not regret going there. There may not be super lots of things, but it's the whole atmosphere of this place that gives a good feel :)

and... We thought of re-acting the Rapunzel's story, but who knows, it was locked and we are not allowed to up to the roof area. my boy was caught climbing the ladder! haha...

Don't you think the view behind me looks very nice? and this place wasn't left by Europeans neither does it have 100 years of history...

An idea that came from him ~ haha...

Lucky for us to rent a scooter to bring us around, else it will be hard getting a cab to and fro, especially if we are running to different places. hehe... and the air over in Taichung is not that good as compared to Taipei, so a mask is definitely needed when you are riding!

Left the place after hanging around for almost 2 hours and this little mushroom, known as the Mushroom St was seen on our way down. Cute right?

and to welcome the beautiful sunset on our way down!

Next destination is to Cartoon King (紙箱王) - A place where almost everything is made of corrugated paper. Sounds cool isn't it? Step into the restaurant and you will also find the chairs, tables are made of corrugated paper.

Opening Hours: 10:00~21:00
Entrance Fees: NT100 (includes NT100 food voucher)
Address: No.2, Aly. 2, Sec. 2, Dongshan Rd., Beitun Dist., Taichung City 406, Taiwan (R.O.C.)

Surprise to find a zoo inside this little place? haha... it's not fully done up yet as there are still some ongoing "renovation works" to be done.
Some of the animals in the zoo :)

Ok.. and I'm supposed to be "pushing" this BIG falling tower but my boy says I look so weird and keeps retaking till my hands are so tired from posing a "push" look. And he ended saying my hands are short =/

So... poor me... asked to "pushed" this small little tower instead of the big one which I couldn't do it.

This is where we spent our NT100 food voucher... tables, chairs, cups... all made with corrugated paper ...

This is unique right? Wrap with corrugated paper and a handle to hold the drink - save plastic right?

This ends our day/ night at the southern side of Taichung with a beautiful sunset view.

It's only 2 places but I guess, travelling time takes up half of it and most importantly Especially when the night breeze blows against us, it was kind of cold.. haha...

Head to Fengjia Night Market as it was just along the stretch where we stay and we do not have to worry about the distance or travelling time.

Look at the beautiful room with our comfortable bed accompanied by a yellow banana :)
The bed is calling me! haha... I love the whole room decoration and the bed was really soft and nice. It's a different feel as the first room we stayed. Glad that we chose 2 different places to have different experience.

To end off... this was my boy eating the BIG SQUID stuffed with rice inside :)
It's yummy but we had too much food and it's stuffed with rice! haha...

Shall continue our last day in Taichung tomorrow (:
Good night people...
