Soon-to-have Babymoon ♥ 0 comments
Can't wait for our Taiwan trip in July. Although it's a short 4/5 days trip, but 好过没有。 After that, I supposed I will be stuck locally (at least for the next half year or more) As what my friend said: 你就是皮痒,想出去玩啦。 -Yes, it's true- To bring my little boy on the plane before he is born. It's my day! ♥ 0 comments
Happy Birthday to myself! Nice surprise given by my hubby! He went to rent a car because we will need to go for the usual gynae check and for lunch, then movie then dinner. 1. Gynae Check 2. Lunch - PS Cafe @ Dempsey Hill (Just opp Gleneagles) (the food was not bad but I guess it is overprice. Shouldn't have spend the money there) 3. Sing K, coz there wasn't any nice movie screening. 4. Dinner @ River South (Hoe Nam) Prawn Noodles (it's been so long since we had prawn noodles here because I don't stay in Paya Lebar and I got lazy just to specially travel by train and bus for the food) 5. Chillax at one of the quietest coffee spot opposite (The Venue). (I supposed it's still very new because most of the shops are empty even when it's dinner time. Poor staff working inside, trying to pass time) Went home after chilling. Sounds boring? Afterall, it had been a long day and we both had to work the next day. I really appreciate what he did as he went the extra mile to rent a car so that I do not have to take public transport and walk so much.

Happy Birthday - 我亲爱的老公 ♥ 0 comments
-Recap- So we got back the Oscar results within the same week because my baby has a high risk of down syndrome. Reason: the nasal bone cannot be seen very clearly so it is deem as high risk. When we went for our normal gynae check, he did say it is alright, no need to worry. But I can also do the Materni T21 Test for an accurate result. But this test costs about $1800. To be honest, I am not very willing to spend this money. Of course, I couldn't sleep well after that. If the result is bad, I will want to abort but at the same time I cannot bear to do it. Afterall it's a life. But if the baby has down syndrome, it will be a long-term commitment looking after. Conclusion: We decided not to proceed and to wait till Week 20 for the FA Test. Partly because I had a dream where my baby is telling me everything is alright, don't worry. At least it is a positive dream. So it happens that the Week 20 scan falls on my hub's birthday and I had plan 2 hospital visits for him - NUH and Mount Alvernia We spent around 3 hours or so in NUH as baby is not cooperative and the sonographer was not able to scan all the areas she need to scan. Finally, she is able to see the baby's nose which is the most important part due to the last scan. And they got a professor in and he said because Asian like us, usually has flatter nose bridge thus not able to see clearly in early stage, not like Caucasian. And we got the printout of the scan but both are the same (WTH?!?) I don't even know what she print and which part is it. Did not even see the whole baby whereas my friend got a printout of the whole body. Damn that sonographer! Went for our lunch at Bishan and proceed to Mt Alvernia with the provided shuttle bus. Lucky us!Reached there before the downpour. Had a hospital tour, understanding the maternity/delivery package, looking at the delivery suits, single and double bedded wards. The single and double bedded wards in the older wings were smaller. *Hopefully I will not get that area* So that's about it. Poor hubby had to wake up super early before the sky is bright and to have his birthday spent like this. I will make it up to you another day, with better treat. haha... Hello Baby. ♥ 0 comments
It's my turn to join the motherhood this year. Hello my little baby, you are entering Week 13. At least you are consider stable now. So, I went to do the Oscar test at NUH, thinking that it's a must. And to realize it's optional after that. I guess, it is to prep the couples so that they can plan their next step if the baby really has down syndrome. Hope everything is alright. Rekindled blog love ♥ 0 comments
And so after 3 years, i remember my blog, the simple and lovely blogskin that i created and edited.
Well, a summary of my past 3 years (kind of a reflection for myself)
I got married in Dec 2016 and rented a room from my grandma and ta-da, we moved to Pasir Ris while waiting for our BTO.
And I really think that living together is not as easy as we think (相见容易,相处难)
There were constant nagging, quarrels and arguments at the initial stage. All because we are facing an elderly and yes, we are staying in her house. So she has all the rights to do what she wants. Sounds kind of domineering? Anything that she 看不顺眼 or things that don't really belong to her, she just throw one side. As if our stuffs are free, no need money to buy. Sometimes it just get on my nerves that going out is the best option rather than staying home on a weekend to rest.
But well, as time passes, it got a littlebetter though there are still some ridiculous arguments here and there.

在回家的路途上,難道,就不能打通電話,或發個簡訊嗎? 然後就會說, 一通電話,一句“我在回家的路上“ 你讓我很不開心 Tuesday, July 29, 2014 | 11:02 PM
The Tuckshop ♥ 0 comments
Finally meet up with Yulian for dinner.
and she recommended "The Tuckshop" as her cousin mentioned that it's very nice.
Don't think it's the same because over here doesn't serve lunch
It's quite easy to locate this place, as it's along the roadside. Opposite of Kong Hwa school
If you are driving, you can turn in from Geylang Lor 36. It's located at the end of Lor 36.
If you are travelling by public transport, you can alight at Paya Lebar, take bus 70 (2 stops away) or take a stroll. About 10-15 minutes walk, depending on your speed. Just walk towards Grandlink Square and follow the stretch down.
Interior -
really give people the old school feel.
The tables and chairs simply remind and bring you back to school days life.
I missed the times where my friends and I hang around in school, talking in class ...

Food Verdict -
kind of overpriced; not very fantastic
I know pictures are always kind of "deceiving" but we are always tempted to order the one that looks nice and attractive in the menu.
What we ordered:- Claypot Rice-otto and Beefalicious Noodles
Price: $16/each
The beef wasn't hard but just find it difficult to chew. Few pieces of beef still taste alright but subsequently, I just find it tiring to chew the beef and gave it. I actually spit out quite a few because I couldn't chew the beef apart.
Then come the rice-otto. I swear the picture looks really good so my friend decided to try, but when it was served, we were like "what's this? porridge ah?"
I love cheese but my friend said that the cheese was too strong.
I guess it's a place more for appetizers and drinks. For mains, I don't think so.
Wouldn't want to waste my money going back.
However, there is one good thing! you can make a reservation online - simple, convenient!
