Soon-to-have Babymoon ♥ 0 comments
Can't wait for our Taiwan trip in July. Although it's a short 4/5 days trip, but 好过没有。 After that, I supposed I will be stuck locally (at least for the next half year or more) As what my friend said: 你就是皮痒,想出去玩啦。 -Yes, it's true- To bring my little boy on the plane before he is born. It's my day! ♥ 0 comments
Happy Birthday to myself! Nice surprise given by my hubby! He went to rent a car because we will need to go for the usual gynae check and for lunch, then movie then dinner. 1. Gynae Check 2. Lunch - PS Cafe @ Dempsey Hill (Just opp Gleneagles) (the food was not bad but I guess it is overprice. Shouldn't have spend the money there) 3. Sing K, coz there wasn't any nice movie screening. 4. Dinner @ River South (Hoe Nam) Prawn Noodles (it's been so long since we had prawn noodles here because I don't stay in Paya Lebar and I got lazy just to specially travel by train and bus for the food) 5. Chillax at one of the quietest coffee spot opposite (The Venue). (I supposed it's still very new because most of the shops are empty even when it's dinner time. Poor staff working inside, trying to pass time) Went home after chilling. Sounds boring? Afterall, it had been a long day and we both had to work the next day. I really appreciate what he did as he went the extra mile to rent a car so that I do not have to take public transport and walk so much.

Happy Birthday - 我亲爱的老公 ♥ 0 comments
-Recap- So we got back the Oscar results within the same week because my baby has a high risk of down syndrome. Reason: the nasal bone cannot be seen very clearly so it is deem as high risk. When we went for our normal gynae check, he did say it is alright, no need to worry. But I can also do the Materni T21 Test for an accurate result. But this test costs about $1800. To be honest, I am not very willing to spend this money. Of course, I couldn't sleep well after that. If the result is bad, I will want to abort but at the same time I cannot bear to do it. Afterall it's a life. But if the baby has down syndrome, it will be a long-term commitment looking after. Conclusion: We decided not to proceed and to wait till Week 20 for the FA Test. Partly because I had a dream where my baby is telling me everything is alright, don't worry. At least it is a positive dream. So it happens that the Week 20 scan falls on my hub's birthday and I had plan 2 hospital visits for him - NUH and Mount Alvernia We spent around 3 hours or so in NUH as baby is not cooperative and the sonographer was not able to scan all the areas she need to scan. Finally, she is able to see the baby's nose which is the most important part due to the last scan. And they got a professor in and he said because Asian like us, usually has flatter nose bridge thus not able to see clearly in early stage, not like Caucasian. And we got the printout of the scan but both are the same (WTH?!?) I don't even know what she print and which part is it. Did not even see the whole baby whereas my friend got a printout of the whole body. Damn that sonographer! Went for our lunch at Bishan and proceed to Mt Alvernia with the provided shuttle bus. Lucky us!Reached there before the downpour. Had a hospital tour, understanding the maternity/delivery package, looking at the delivery suits, single and double bedded wards. The single and double bedded wards in the older wings were smaller. *Hopefully I will not get that area* So that's about it. Poor hubby had to wake up super early before the sky is bright and to have his birthday spent like this. I will make it up to you another day, with better treat. haha... Hello Baby. ♥ 0 comments
It's my turn to join the motherhood this year. Hello my little baby, you are entering Week 13. At least you are consider stable now. So, I went to do the Oscar test at NUH, thinking that it's a must. And to realize it's optional after that. I guess, it is to prep the couples so that they can plan their next step if the baby really has down syndrome. Hope everything is alright. Rekindled blog love ♥ 0 comments
And so after 3 years, i remember my blog, the simple and lovely blogskin that i created and edited.
Well, a summary of my past 3 years (kind of a reflection for myself)
I got married in Dec 2016 and rented a room from my grandma and ta-da, we moved to Pasir Ris while waiting for our BTO.
And I really think that living together is not as easy as we think (相见容易,相处难)
There were constant nagging, quarrels and arguments at the initial stage. All because we are facing an elderly and yes, we are staying in her house. So she has all the rights to do what she wants. Sounds kind of domineering? Anything that she 看不顺眼 or things that don't really belong to her, she just throw one side. As if our stuffs are free, no need money to buy. Sometimes it just get on my nerves that going out is the best option rather than staying home on a weekend to rest.
But well, as time passes, it got a littlebetter though there are still some ridiculous arguments here and there.

The Tuckshop ♥ 0 comments
Finally meet up with Yulian for dinner.
and she recommended "The Tuckshop" as her cousin mentioned that it's very nice.
Don't think it's the same because over here doesn't serve lunch
It's quite easy to locate this place, as it's along the roadside. Opposite of Kong Hwa school
If you are driving, you can turn in from Geylang Lor 36. It's located at the end of Lor 36.
If you are travelling by public transport, you can alight at Paya Lebar, take bus 70 (2 stops away) or take a stroll. About 10-15 minutes walk, depending on your speed. Just walk towards Grandlink Square and follow the stretch down.
Interior -
really give people the old school feel.
The tables and chairs simply remind and bring you back to school days life.
I missed the times where my friends and I hang around in school, talking in class ...
![]()
Food Verdict -
kind of overpriced; not very fantastic
I know pictures are always kind of "deceiving" but we are always tempted to order the one that looks nice and attractive in the menu.
What we ordered:- Claypot Rice-otto and Beefalicious Noodles
Price: $16/each
The beef wasn't hard but just find it difficult to chew. Few pieces of beef still taste alright but subsequently, I just find it tiring to chew the beef and gave it. I actually spit out quite a few because I couldn't chew the beef apart.
Then come the rice-otto. I swear the picture looks really good so my friend decided to try, but when it was served, we were like "what's this? porridge ah?"
I love cheese but my friend said that the cheese was too strong.
I guess it's a place more for appetizers and drinks. For mains, I don't think so.
Wouldn't want to waste my money going back.
However, there is one good thing! you can make a reservation online - simple, convenient!
The Tuckshop
Located: 403 Guillemard Road

Salad Days ♥ 0 comments
Salad seems to be very common among everyone now.
Be it guys or girls... Somehow, it became a norm that people are taking salad as lunch.
Healthy way of living and a way of reducing the carb intake.
So these was what I had for two days over two weeks :)
Its from Sun Moon, cost me $4.90 each.
Can choose up to 5 toppings + 1 sauce. Add $2 if you want meat.
Day 1:
Toppings: Lettuce, Cucumber, Cherry Tomatoes, Hard Boil Egg, Apples, Corn, Chicken bits (+$2)
Sauce: Honey Mustard
Day 2:
Toppings: Lettuce, Cherry Tomatoes, Egg Mayo, Corn, Grapefruit, Apples
Sauce: Honey Mustard
Day 3:
Toppings: Lettuce, Cherry Tomatoes, Apples, Grapefruit, Celery, Corn
Sauce: French Balsamic Dressing
*I thought the dressing was sth lighter, more watery based, but this turned out to be creamy kind
Day 4:
Toppings: Lettuce, Celery, Apples, Corn, Rockmelon, Strawberries
(no cherry tomatoes today~)
Sauce: Honey Mustard
The combination of greens and fruits make the whole salad looks so appealing.
I love fruits~ the choice of my fruits are almost the same for all salad. I just never get sick of eating the same fruits :)

Friends or Strangers ♥ 0 comments
recent incident makes me realize that even if you treat someone as a close friend, treat her well, it doesn't mean she will do the same back to you.
i am the kind where i rather you tell me what did i do wrong or what happen to cause the change, rather than keeping it quiet and ignore me. we were still fine, still meet for dinner after I left. two months down the road, everything changed.
the day she joined, i treated her very nice. to the extend where we even bought her dessert on her first day. we got along quite well, taught her stuffs, meet for dessert, meet for lunch, went out for supper as a group, talk about heart-heart matters... all these changed suddenly.
i guess i was much more disappointed than angry.
i truly take her as a close friend ...
it makes me feel disgusted when she reminded us to keep in contact, to meet up for meals, not to forget her. but it turns out that she changed and ignored us.
did you even truly take me as a friend or you were just faking nice?
being what you need to when you are with different people?
well, thanks for showing me your true colors ...

Realized it had been a long time since I last blogged. Remember the time I started blogging was in Poly and my friends around start to blog after they see... And so, 1 by 1 created their own blog. But I felt lucky and really appreciate my friend who helped to create the html for my blog, so that I have my own layout <3 As for now, I am just getting lazy to blog, especially after I left Taiwan, left him. The idea of blogging again was when I stayed in Taiwan for 1 month plus, to accompany him and to look for job, in hope that we could spend longer time together and to enjoy the carefree days in Taiwan. But, it's a different story now ~ for both of us. However, I am glad that we are still friends and we have also found our own partners in our own homeland. ^^ Monday, December 23, 2013 | 2:19 PM

Something unexpected ♥ 0 comments
It's really unexpected to the fact that I never thought it will even happen. So that explained why someone had been treating me so nice after I am back from Taiwan. and I did not reject at all. What am I thinking? Tuesday, November 12, 2013 | 11:56 PM
Back in SG! ♥ 0 comments
Well... I had to wake up early in the morning because someone refused to let me work at later timing when it was SUPPOSED to be noon shift. He just had to make me wake up early and to have breakfast (stating that he will also be home late, he will also have insufficient sleep, he will also wake up early next day to have breakfast with me) at Mac. (it was HIS idea to have breakfast when he could have sleep longer) I strongly believe that he just want to drag me to "die" together with him. Haha.. rather than giving me more hours to rest. He just simply sux~ anw! he really looked shag~ haha... (not to the extend of looking like zombie) poor thing.. having to work continuously (but he could have rest before I go TW and rest before Eileen go Perth) Can't understand what is he thinking. and Yoshi came in the night... and the first thing she said to me after the busy moment was "你终于回来了。可以帮他,不然他很累,一直在倒数你回来的日子。现在他看起来比较开心,不会那么累。 " haha... i can't feel the happiness in him upon me coming back! I only feel that he was here to torture me upon first day back in SG. Sunday, November 10, 2013 | 3:50 PM
Last day in Taiwan ♥ 0 comments
10 days always seem to fly so fast when we are going back to own country. haha... remember the first day when I arrived, I felt it was like so long before I can go home, I can go back to work in Sg. And I kind of miss the people in Sg ... Haha.. Hope that particular someone had enough rest as he was alone (with Zhijun back in Msia, Eileen going to Perth 2 days earlier instead of the original date and me only coming back on 11th night) and during the days in Taiwan, I am always wondering if he will look like zombie not when I returned. Haha.. and I shall see him on the 12th! :) but... worse thing happened yesterday.. haha... first time stepping into hospital in Taiwan. eeee... :( I was so in pain ~ due to some infection and first person that I actually can think of was someone else... That's like sooo wrong! -.- Jul says I should have bought the travel insurance so I can claim... But Arlun says nvm la... at least I am better and lucky it happen now and not when I am going back Sg. well.. it's true in some ways.. Friday, November 8, 2013 | 11:49 PM
Back to Yilan ♥ 0 comments
Back in Yilan and brought Jul they all down to stay at 吴政治姐夫的温泉旅馆.
Simply because the hotel that she booked last minute, was really a rundown type and CMI.
The lift was on the 2nd floor and nobody was there to even help to carry the luggage and they have to carry the heavy bags up to 2nd floor before they can take an antique lift up to 3rd floor and upon seeing the room, I want to faint.
So we decided to get a room for them in Yilan, Jiaoxi area and they can also 泡温泉in their own room.
and for the past few days...
spent 1 night in Taichung so that they can roam around FengJia Night Market. The room in the minsu was nice.. all with a theme and it's comfy with free wifi.
This was the sweet romance room I chose. Per night at NT1380, which was about S$50 a night :) It's close to 10 minutes walk from this to the night market as we were staying at Building 2.
and food food... at Fengjia Night Market.
That lil pot of plant was actually ice-cream. It's cool isn't it? Haha... saw many people holding and eating and we were wondering what was that... ><
and we checked-out the next day. can you imagine them taking that big luggage.. from Taipei to Taichung to Kaoshiung then to Taipei and another luggage when moving to Yilan? That's like a lot...
Actually Nov was supposed to be cooling, a bit cold, but I think the weather did not changed as expected, so the thicker clothes they brought were of no use.
Took the high speed rail to Kaoshiung with my aunt & family together with ah ma & arlun.
Here's the best thing about the hotel in Kaoshiung - Fantastic!
Kindness Hotel - Jhong Jheng No.112, Zhongzheng 4th Rd., Qianjin Dist., Kaohsiung City 801, Taiwan (R.O.C.), Qianjin, 801 Kaohsiung
Free, unlimited ice-cream daily and Free Laundry (of course you have to bring your clothes to wash yourselves) but free softener and washing powder was given in the laundry room.
Take a look at the room! It's really nice :) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Love River and Shinkuchan shopping area are a 5-minute drive from Kindness Hotel - Jhong Jheng.
Oh ya! and there is free bicycles for you to rent! hehe...
Cycled to Love River .. for the first time... along the roadside.
and to Liuhe Night Market.
Liuhe Night Market was quite small... and there was nothing to shop... (boring to me)
Even the choices of food are limited.. Only bought this which we find it appealing. Hahaha...
Next day was a day to E-da. It is said to be biggest theme park so I expect a lot of things that we can play. But there wasn't much. Worse of all, we met with big groups of students on their school trip. The place was damn crowded.
But lucky for the two monsters, they enjoyed this water game... which they spent half an hour queuing for it. LOL! it was quite a boring trip to E-da for me as I did not really get to play or enjoy any of the rides... or maybe 1 indoor roller coaster, which lasted like 1-2mins. haha... and the dinner at the food court. Looks good... Taste... not bad! haha.. :)
went back to the hotel after we redeem the free ride on the 摩天轮.
and lousy arlun was scared coz of the height... =/
ended the day with a nice cup of coffee and magic show :)

Weekends in Yilan ♥ 0 comments
A weekend spent in a coffee house where he worked.. First time stepping into Mr. Brown Coffee House... his workplace since he came back to Taiwan. Just merely a 5 mins ride on his scooter. Convenient isn't it? enjoy the nice club sandwich and drinks.. all on him. but the blackforest cake was a big NO. I enjoy having tiramisu and blackforest but theirs was a big disappointment. Nice to see but sux in the taste.
New attraction in Yilan I guess.. It's a lovely and big bakery!
with Tiramisu as well...
Look at the cute ice-cream!
haha... Wee~~ creative...
and my favorite of all...
They had a big processing room where they actually show people how was the red bean pancake (doraemon's fav) being made...
and the whole place was explained with history, equipment and knowledge about cakes.
A dream place to be in for cakes/ desserts lovers <3
To end of the weekends, we had a mini shopping trip in Yilan Night Market and YouAi Shopping Center.
The movie ticket price over here cost around NT160 for 2,which was about S$7.
$7 movie ticket can only buy us 1 seat in Singapore... haha...
love this big teddy bear! ^^
so much of wanting to carry it home
Say Hello to Teddy! :)

These days because of hand pain, 副店也特别关心我.
那天,23/10,他买了早餐给我,而且不是我要他买,是他自己主动的。因为我是上10:30am 的班,而他是开早. When Victor knew, he told Eileen and they were like "wa! he never even buy for us breakfast before lo. We were the ones buying for him most of the time and I only asked him to help me buy when I am late, then he helped. Are you touched?"
O_O
Did he stalk me or? Hahaha... Else how would he know that my last seen was like what time? And he said he had also see before that my last seen was like 3, 4am that kind. He also never talk to me, I also never talk to him, how he know? And he said my homework is to rest early, and I cannot ask any questions. Just rest early and take good care.
哈哈。。 谢谢他的关心。
真的感受到,也觉得很开心。虽然看到他,还是会有种压力,但是,ok 的!哈哈。。 Sunday, August 25, 2013 | 11:30 PM
